Mancos, Colorado: Where the West Still Lives

Check out Mancos Historical Society

The town of Mancos is an historic community founded in 1894. The town retains its pride in history with several buildings on the State and National Historic Registers. The historic Mancos Times Tribune building has been recently renovated back to it’s original glory and is now a community art center supporting the art of letterpress. The Mancos Opera house, build in 1910, is receiving similar rehabilitation and will be open for operas beginning in 2020. The historic downtown business district offers visitors art galleries, top notch dining options, as well as a brewery, a cider house, a coffee shop, and one of the oldest continuously operating bars in Colorado.
