Mancos State Park is hosting two musical events in the coming weeks as part of its Music in the Park summer series.

Local group of ukulele players called the Aloha Club will perform Saturday, June 24, at 7 p.m. in the park amphitheater. The Aloha Club will perform a variety of songs that will entertain the whole family.
Aloha Club presents a variety of fun and traditional ukulele music. Their performance follows on the heels of the successful concert by the Ukulele of Great Britain, which delighted audiences in Cortez this past April. This is Aloha Club’s first appearance at Mancos State Park.
Helping celebrate the Independence Day weekend is the Mancos-area group Sweetwater Station. They will perform Saturday, July 1, at 7 p.m., also in the amphitheater.
Other Independence Day weekend events include a kids’ (and adults’) parade Sunday, July 2 at noon. Parade participants are welcome to wear their most patriotic costumes or make use of colored crepe paper, noisemakers and other materials provided by the park.
