Job Overview
We are seeking someone to manage the Mancos Valley Visitor Center during our busy season, including our amazing volunteers. This will be in person whenever the visitor center whenever there is a gap in volunteer shifts, but otherwise has some flexibility in location. Any additional hours will go into support the Mancos Valley Chamber’s event planning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating volunteer schedules and ensuring the visitor center is consistantly staffed during our posted hours.
  • Ensuring that volunteers are well-trained, knowledgable about our town, and having a great time at their shifts.
  • Supporting volunteers in learning and following visitor center protocol and keeping the brochures, magazines, and retail up-to-date and tidy.
  • Any additional weekly hours will be spend helping to ensure Chamber events are well attended by supporting marketing efforts and event setup. Occasional evening hours might be required for this, with some flexibility built in.

Qualifications

  • Kindness, creativity, and good organizational skills.
  • The ability to enjoy and work with many personality types.
  • A love for our area and community.
  • Customer service, marketing, and point of sale experience preferred but not required. Volunteer and event management experience are also a plus!
